Dr. Ernesto J. Herger Anadón

Dr. Ernesto Herger – is a Caribbean native physician specialized in oriental medicine. He grew up in the medicine world thanks to his father, who is one of the top naturopaths of the United States. He’s passion and knowledge for healthier lifestyles sparked the curiosity to create Cooking with my Doctor.

He has a bachelor’s degree in medical science, a master’s degree in oriental medicine and doctoral studies in oriental and herbal medicine. Dr. Herger has traveled all over the world learning different techniques to use food for medications and healing. He’s certified as an acupuncturist by the Florida Acupuncture Board, Diplomat in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), the International Kinesiology Organization of Switzerland and is certified as a Chinese Food Nutritionist. He has his own practice offices in San Juan, PR and Miami, FL.

Chef Rafael Barrera – lives to cook and everything associated with it. He is a graduate from the prestigious Culinary Institute of America, were he learned classical and modern techniques that combined with the experience acquired over the years helped him create the gourmet taste of Cooking with my Doctor.

He now works as an independent chef excelling in creating gastronomic experiences. Chef Barrera has cooked for internationally renowned artists, shared stages with Food Network chefs, participated in Napa’s World of Flavors, Cochon Heritage Fired, Saborea, Sabor a Barranquilla, as well as collaborates with prestigious magazines, such as Esquire and Vivir Mejor and is a founding member of the Asociación Gastronómica Puertorriqueña. To him, everything is possible.
