Criollo Baked Turkey

Ingredients

  • Juice of 5 limes
  • 1 beer
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons Sazon Cooking with my Doctor per pound
  • 2 tablespoons dried oregano
  • 1/2 cup Sofrito Cooking with my Doctor
  • 1/4 cup garlic paste Cooking with my Doctor
  • 1/4 cup olive oil

Instructions

  1. Mix all the ingredients well.
  2. Ensure the turkey is thawed and apply the marinade to the turkey, rubbing it all over and under the skin.
  3. Marinate for 24 hours. Before baking, let it rest at room temperature for an hour.
  4. Bake at 325 degrees for 3.5 hours for a 15-pound turkey.

For the Creole Stuffing

  • 2 pounds of sliced bread, cut into small pieces
  • 1 onion, cut into small pieces
  • 1 bunch of cilantro, finely chopped
  • 10 sweet peppers, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup white raisins
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped nuts
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1 tablespoon Sazon Cooking with my Doctor
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook the onion over medium-low heat for about 15 minutes, then add the peppers, white wine, and chicken broth.
  2. Let it cool and mix with the eggs. Add the Sazon and then add the bread, nuts, and raisins.
  3. In a baking dish, bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
