Criollo Baked Turkey
Ingredients
- Juice of 5 limes
- 1 beer
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 teaspoons Sazon Cooking with my Doctor per pound
- 2 tablespoons dried oregano
- 1/2 cup Sofrito Cooking with my Doctor
- 1/4 cup garlic paste Cooking with my Doctor
- 1/4 cup olive oil
Instructions
- Mix all the ingredients well.
- Ensure the turkey is thawed and apply the marinade to the turkey, rubbing it all over and under the skin.
- Marinate for 24 hours. Before baking, let it rest at room temperature for an hour.
- Bake at 325 degrees for 3.5 hours for a 15-pound turkey.
For the Creole Stuffing
- 2 pounds of sliced bread, cut into small pieces
- 1 onion, cut into small pieces
- 1 bunch of cilantro, finely chopped
- 10 sweet peppers, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup white raisins
- 1/2 cup finely chopped nuts
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1 stick of butter
- 1 tablespoon Sazon Cooking with my Doctor
- 2 eggs
Instructions
- In a skillet, cook the onion over medium-low heat for about 15 minutes, then add the peppers, white wine, and chicken broth.
- Let it cool and mix with the eggs. Add the Sazon and then add the bread, nuts, and raisins.
- In a baking dish, bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
